Shannon + Danny : Wilmington, NC

Shannon and Danny’s wedding was totally our cup of tea: a vintage-chic take on a sophisticated Southern soirée. We truly adored filming their day, not only for the amazing details and atmosphere but simply because Shannon and Danny are the sweetest pair. We loved hearing the romantic story of their courtship and eventual engagement (in Paris!). They are so smitten in love and put so much thought into their day, creating an experience that reflected both their personalities and story.

The wedding took place at the stately City Club at de Rosset in historic downtown Wilmington. It was our first time filming there and we cannot wait to go back! The ceremony was held outdoors against a beautiful backdrop of terraced gardens, a towering tree and crisp greenery. It was the perfect setting for Shannon and Danny’s elegant affair. Every detail was impressive, from the classy attire (floral bridesmaids robes and contrasting bridesmaid dresses, Shannon’s stunning vintage-inspired gown, top hats, bow ties and handmade flower girl dresses) to the unique decor (literary quotes in vintage frames, vibrant pink roses, signature cocktails, and deliciously ornate desserts, especially the lovely cake and New Orleans-style beignets), to the bridal party’s reception entrance down the City Club’s grand staircase, to Shannon and Danny’s whimsical first dance routine… friends and family sure got to celebrate in splendor and style! Everyone danced the night away and we felt like we were filming something right out of a Southern novel!

At the end of the night, we got a chance to film some intimate moments between Shannon and Danny underneath the tree where they were married, now all lit up and glowing in the moonlight. A moment of dreamy romance and something very special to capture! These two definitely have a love that will last for the ages. Congratulations to the newlyweds, and thank you for the wonderful experience of filming your day! We wish you a lifetime of love and wedded bliss!
